Missing Review: A Mon Dieu (illogical) Thriller with no thrill!!

It seems the makers realized while screening the movie that it is illogical and so they used illogical to the credits of movie themselves. Tabu and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Missing thought got off at a good start but very soon stumbled to a mess of lies, accusations and a missing story.

A couple Aparna (Tabu) and Sushant (Manoj) who initially give hints of their estranged relationship headed to Mauritius. The audience wakes up with a heart-wrenching look on face of a mother when her ill-daughter (Titli) goes missing in a hotel. The cops are called in lead by Buddhu (Annu Kapoor). The movie takes delusional turns and leaves audiences in disbelief as it unfolds. The niches of mauritus with Tabu running around in search of her daughter and the insidiousness brought forth by Buddhu is all this movie is about.

Missing fails to make a connect with viewers with its hallucinatory story line which  is just unrealistic. The debutante director’s lack of execution to this thriller is evident within the first few minutes of screening. The movie seems tolerable only for presence of Annu Kapoor who adds charm to his role of investigator. Especially when he uses some Mauritian-french words that are laughable with his accent. I also like his representation of the story… Its illogical.

Even though the cast of Missing has names like Tabu, Manoj Bajpayee and Annu Kapoor, the movie fails to make a mark. It is imperative for awesome actors to have a good story line that Missing lacks.

Missing is actually missing a watch-worthy story and seems a bit off than reality can be to view. I give missing 2 out of 5 stars. Can be seen by those who are die-hard fans of thriller even if it is illogical.
