“Romance doesn’t mean on-screen kissing” – Salman Khan

Salman Khan has been extensively promoting for his upcoming film Race 3 which is scheduled to release this Eid on 15th June 2018. Read here an excerpt from his media interaction during its promotion.

Salman Khan’s view on China as a potential market.

Salman Khan is the Actor, producer and distributor of Race 3. When during the promotion of Race 3, media asked him if he considered China as a potential market. Here is what he had to say.

Salman Khan said that China is emerging as a good market for Indian Cinema. He added that they have already released Bajrangi Bhaijaan in China, they are releasing Sultan and they will also be releasing Race 3. Salman Khan says that what matter is the favour of huge business in China is number of screens. In India we are working at 5000 screens as against 40000 screens in China. So if we increase the number of screens in India we can do a similar business even here. With such a small number of screen in India as compared to China the business that we do in India is exceptionally well.

Action movies work well with the mass audiences.

Salman Khan who has an image of the action hero believes that action movies with high emotional quotient works well with the masses. He adds that action and romance are interconnected. But for him Romance doesn’t necessarily mean on screen kissing. He says Romance should be in the eyes. It should always be a family movie.

Salman Khan’s take on experimental roles.

When Salman Khan was asked whether he is interested in doing experimental roles he said that he did Tubelight which is now one of the most loved and appreciated films on the satellite. The problem with its business at box office was the timing of its release. It was not an Eid release. When people are in festive mood they come to watch highly entertaining, comedy genre. They don’t like to leave the theatre crying and that is exactly why Tubelight didn’t work. For Salman Khan, Tubelight still holds a very special place in his heart.

Helmed by Remo D’Souza, Race 3 also features Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez. Race 3 will be Salman Khan’s 2nd venture with Jacqueline Fernandez after Kick. Talking about his bonding with Jacqueline Fernandez, Salman Khan says that he knows Jacqueline since she arrived from Sri Lanka. She is a very vibrant and hard working girl. Jacqueline was first going to feature in London Dreams but as the film got delayed she eventually debuted with ALadin. They then got chance to work together in Kick. Salman Khan adds that its very nice experience working with Jacqueline as she is a very sincere, hard working and fun loving girl.
