Simran is a drop down roller coaster story that starts of well, picks up and then drops to a chaotic end.
It is a movie based on a true story about a gujrati woman Praful Patel (Kangana Ranaut) living with her parents in Georgia.
She is a self entertaining woman who wants to steer her life herself
The name of the girl is Praful but the movie is named Simran.
The reason for this is brain dead one.
The movie unfolds with Praful getting into a habit of gambling after a one night success with baccarat.
This gives her opportunity to be her own opulent queen butthe luck vanishes soon and she starts loosing.
She becomes a robber to pay off the debt accrued due to gambling loses.
Her robbing style is unique but it is unrealistic & unbelievable at the same time.
I fail to understand whether it was the smartness of the girl or the foolishness of US police & bank authorities.
They get perplexed even after being robbed the same way again & again.
Their are numerous loopholes in the movie. You can avoid one but all.
Not just this what happens in the end is the steep downfall of the movie.
The movie shows kangana in every frame with no prominent screen presence of any other actor.
We all know she is brilliant & too good but too much of too good is also not good.
All in all it is hard to connect with this movie except for one or two moments like when she refuse to take No for an answer in a bar.
The movie lacks realism & sensibility on Hansal Mehta part.
The scintillating performance of Kangana is not suuficient to make this a good movie.
I am giving this movie 2.5 stars out of 5.
Out of which 2 for kangana &.5 for everything else.
You can watch if you are Kangana’s fan.
